Design Work
Everyone’s creative process is a little different. For me, everything starts with that initial idea or prompt. Then I look for inspiration based on that idea. From there I get to work developing my own design. I brainstorm several options then choose one to refine based off the client’s preference. I refine it then send it back for feedback. I take that feedback and make any changes needed before the final product is submitted.

Book Cover Redesign
Book Cover Redesign
As a project for a layout design class I chose to redesign the cover of “Into The Wild” by Jon Krakauer. As an outdoor enthusiast this book has always been a favorite and was a fun opportunity to improve my digital painting skills. I started on paper then made a few digital thumbnails based off the sketches and took the feedback of my peers into consideration when choosing the final design.
This project was made entirely in Adobe Photoshop.

Informational Map
Informational Map
This map of Orcas Island was made for one of my college graphic design courses. Its purpose was to be a visually appealing yet informational design that could be used at a local tourist agency or museum.
This project was made entirely in Adobe Illustrator. It was eventually brought into Adobe After Effects and made into a motion graphic.
Event Poster Concept
Event Poster Concepts
Another project for my layout design course. This time in the form of event flyers. I wanted this project to have a vintage feel to it and used inspiration from others to create what I came up with.
I didn’t want these posters to be difficult or time consuming to read, but rather have the main point conveyed at a glace. The use of minimal high contrast text was used to achieve this effect.
Character Design
Character Design
Character design was step one for this animation course project. My final animation was of an old fisherman who sits down and drifts off to sleep only to have a sea monster latch onto the end of his line. For this character I wanted to stick with the classic yellow rainsuit and rubber boots look. I created several different reference angles before moving into the animation stage.
The final character design was made in Adobe Illustrator, and further on into the project was brought into Adobe Animate to be brought to life.
