Visual Storytelling Through Video

Film

“Backwards – Southbound on the Pacific Crest Trail”, is a 30-minute short film I created upon completion of my thru-hike from Canada to Mexico. Being limited in what gear I could bring with me, it was just me, my camera, and a desire to capture my experience.

Film

Ah yes, another long walk. This time 800 miles across the state of Arizona from the Mexican border all the way up to Utah. Same gear and same goals as my Pacific Crest Trail video. However, I tried to be more intentional about filming and getting a variety of different shots to tell a complete story and make the editing process smoother.

Vintage Ad

As a project for a video production course, I decided to create a silent vintage advertisement for something almost every hiker carries, a granola bar. It was a project where I just used what I had lying around and came up with something creative.

Product Teaser

As part of an internship for A&A Outpost Designs, I created a short teaser video on the creation of their handmade polymer clay earrings. Everybody likes to peek behind the scenes, so catching the jewelry creation process was the foundation of this video.

Childrens Infographic

The goal of this short clip was to create an informational motion graphic that could be shown in an elementary classroom. I wanted it to be fun and brightly colored with bouncy music. Learning is fun and that was the main idea behind this project.
